How to Style Mens Hair – Two Ways

A haircut is just that – the length and shape of hair is cut, razored, or clipped to. A hairstyle is how you comb, coif, spike hair. You can have one haircut many hairstyles. Here’s how to style mens hair for everyday and slicked back.

Every great hairstyle starts with a great cut. If you don’t know what that is, ask your stylist to recommend something that works with your hair texture, face shape, and even beard. This cool hairstyle keeps the sides and back trimmed short with longer on top.

This is a fantastic cut that is on trend for 2012. You’ll look professional at work and stylish going out for drinks after. To get the look, simply rub the best product for your hair type through damp towel-dried hair, comb it into place, and let it dry. If you have thick or wavy hair or are in a hurry most mornings, a blow drier will get you out the door much quicker.

Here’s the same haircut worn slicked back. What a difference some pomade can make. Hair can be worn slicked straight back with some sheen, as worn above. Or you can wear the brush back, a softer version of the look. Or comb hair up at the forehead to add some height.

Whatever your haircut, try out different hairstyles – spikes or bedhead are great too. It can take a few tries to get the look just right but it’s worth the effort to look this good.
