Men’s Hairstyle Trends 2013 – The Slick Look

Style for men evolves at a reasonable pace, over several years rather than season by season. Last year’s hair is still wearable this year and if it’s new to you, that’s fine too.

One of the men’s hairstyle trends 2013 that is still going strong is the slick look. Wear it tall, curly, or super shiny – all of these variations on the vintage look are a go this year.

Getting this controlled look just right is easy with the right products for your hair. Fine, wavy and thick hair have different needs to get the same slick look.

Start with dry hair. Men with curly hair should gently towel dry hair with an old t-shirt or microfiber towel. For straight hair, air dry or use a blow dryer for more control over hair and cut down on styling time.

Now on to the best products for slicked back hair. For fine or straight straight hair that does well with regular hold products, try Kiehl’s Creme with Silk Groom, L’oreal Tecni Art Liss Control Cream, or Bumble&Bumble Grooming Cream.

Rub a pea-sized dab of product between your palms to warm it up and work it into hair, starting at  the sides and back and finishing with forming the front. Use a comb to style get a smooth finish, extra height, or create a clean part. Add more if required but it’s best to start with too litte.
